Katharina Bühler gained international recognition with three episodes of the Emmy-winning series „The Empress“.

Trained at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg (Directing and Cinematography), she has been a prominent figure in feature films since 2011, working on cinema, television, and series projects, including for Netflix and Paramount+.
Awards and nominations have followed her journey consistently, including the 2026 Best Cinematography Award at the Hollywood International Diversity Film Festival for Blindgänger, nominations for the German Camera Award for Plötzlich so still, and in 2024, she was awarded for Blindgänger at the Female Filmmakers Festival, also receiving the DAfFNE for Oh Hell (Season 2).
